Phase Of Care

  1. Relief Care:

The primary goal of relief care is to provide patients with symptomatic relief, including reducing inflammation, relieving pain, and restoring the normal range of motion to the affected joints.

Treatments focus on those techniques and therapies which most quickly and effectively reduce symptoms. Patients are generally recommended to stay mobile and functional as long as there is not a risk of further injury or tissue damage. Depending on the severity of a patient’s condition, it is typical to need care 2-3 times per week for 2-4 weeks.

  1. Corrective Care (Rehabilitative care):

In this corrective phase of care, a patient needs to work on correcting muscles and other tissues which are contributing to chronic pain conditions, includes:

  • Correcting hip, gait, and foot problems

  • improving flexibility, stability, balance, and coordination

  • Recovery from of work-related muscle and joint injuries

  • improving function from joint irritation and muscle tension

  • improving the ability to perform activities of daily living

It is typical to need care 4-8 times per month for 3-6 months, depending on the overall health and the severity of the problem.

  1. Wellness Care (Preventative care)

In the Wellness care phase, based on a patient’s lifestyle and goals, it is important to discover ways to help patients who are in the long-term wellness phase to stay well, prevent injury, enhance performance, optimize the body’s regulatory systems, and boost the body’s ability to self-heal. A patient is recommended to come in for a quick chiropractic visit periodically to avoid problems in the future.
