Syngnathus tenuirostris Rathke, 1873 or Narrow-snouted pipefish (EN), Syngnathe A Long Museau (FR), Pesce Ago Musino (IT), Μακρύρρυγχη σακοράφα (GR) or Schmalschnauzen-Seenadel (DE) has a brownish body tone and an elongated narrow snout. It can be found in the southern of Europe, on the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Aegean, Ionian, Black, Marmara seas and the Sea of Azov. This species is demersal and is present on estuaries associated with aquatic vegetation. This pipefish is understudied and information about their ecology and population dynamics is currently unavailable.
