The Team

Dipankar Borah is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Botany in Goalpara College, Goalpara, Assam. He did his Masters and PhD from Department of Botany, Rajiv Gandhi University. He has authored more than 70 research articles and has described 21 taxa, new to science. He is interested in native and endemic vascular flora of Northeast India as well as ethnobotany of the region. His current project is 'Gesneriads and Begonias of NE India.'

Momang Taram has completed her Masters from Department of Botany, Rajiv Gandhi University and pursuing her PhD in the same. She has authored more than 30 research articles and has described 13 taxa, new to science. She is involved in two major projects "Biocultural studies of the Adi tribe in Arunachal Pradesh" and "Revision of the family Gesneriaceae of Arunachal Pradesh".

Jintu Sarma is currently working as Assistant Professor in Guwahati College, Guwahati, Assam. He completed his Masters from Department of Botany, Gauhati University and his PhD from Department of Environmental Science, Tezpur University. He has authored more than 20 research articles and described 01 taxa new to science. Moreover he has published more than 100 popular articles in different paper, magazines etc. He has also published three books "অসমৰ উদ্ভিদ আৰু চৰাই: পৰিচয়াত্মক বিৱৰণ" , "Dicot flora of erstwhile Sonitpur district, Assam" and one text book "Plant Systematics".

Niku Das is a bachelors degree student in Department of Botany, Biswanath College, Gauhati University.

Bipankar Hajong is project fellow in CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Assam. He has completed his Masters degree from Tripura University in the year 2020. His current project is "CSIR-Floriculture Mission" and is interested in angiospermic plant diversity of Northeast India and Ethnobotany of Hajong community.
