Overview and Premise
Bandura's Social Learning Theory is based on the concept of reciprocal determinism, which suggests that an individual's behavior is influenced by their personal characteristics, the environment, and their behavior. In this theory, the learner's behavior is shaped by modeling and imitation of the behavior of others. Social Learning Theory emphasizes the importance of reinforcement, where positive reinforcement leads to the repetition of desired behavior, and negative reinforcement reduces undesirable behavior (Bandura, 1977).
