From head-on, the piece appears flat. But as the viewer walks around, observing it from different angles, the piece reveals its depth. This represents both my approach to art and life. I want viewers to engage with my art, so I intentionally create it so the entire piece cannot be comprehended in one glance.
I took something simple and one-dimensional, a line, and just by turning the strips of paper on their side, I was able to create something three-dimensional.
