For this class assignment, we were tasked with creating a poster of a movie in a different genre using a specific layer system. I was given Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, which I adapted into an Asian period drama, based on George Lucas' inspiration for Star Wars. In line with the samurai and wuxia posters of the late 1900s and early 2000s, my poster emphasizes the familial drama between Luke and Vader set in feudal Japan, rendered in painterly style resembling oil paint.
