Kris Watson - ACC 1910 

Originally from the UK, gained a B.A/B.Ed Design Technology Education (Hons).

Worked for 4 years in the UK, before moving to New Zealand (Central Otago) to work in an Area School. Then after 10 years moved to Taupo as HOF Technology at Tauhara College. 

Discovered a void in student engagement, Localised and Integrated Curriculum, explored this with student voice, staff at Tauhara and by attending the STEAM Summit in Auckland. 

The Innovation came when working alongside James Lamb and Dan Piper with the addition of gaining a BrightSpots award which provided the catalyst to start the  STEAM Hub at Tauhara College. 

James Lamb - ACC 1911

Born and bred on the North Shore of Auckland.  Educated through Rangitoto College and then gained a B.For.Sc (Hons) at Canterbury University.

Has resided in Taupo for the past 18 years and worked at Tauhara College as HOF Science and more recently as Co-HOF STEAM.

Is passionate about delivering Integrated Curriculum in an engaging way that takes akonga on learning journeys towards their onward pathways.

When not busy innovating in education circles can be found on the golf course, catching rainbow trout, adding to his Hawaiin shirt collection and hydrating at local watering holes.
