Assessment for Learning

Our work supports the belief that assessment should integrate grading, learning and motivation for all students. Well-designed assessment methods provide valuable information about student learning. Assessment is a platform to tell us what students learned, how well they learned it and where they struggled. 

The team passionately believe that assessment for learning is more effective if it collects specific information about the learning so that learners can receive specific feedback. This allows teachers to promote a learning environment that involves students in assessment, while giving students more agency over their learning whilst helping boost motivation and helping them gain improved knowledge and understanding. Doing this in a meaningful way will develop the platform to keep students on track, support student goal setting and ultimately allow all akonga to become the best they can be.
