Tramore Road Campus music department welcomes music students from Noorderpoort college for a two week Erasmus+ exchange partnership.
The music department at Tramore Road Campus has developed a partnership with Noorderpoort college in Groningen, Netherlands as part of our Internationalisation plan to develop partners with other colleges in Europe. The initial development of this partnership involved hosting 6 students and two staff members from Noorderport to our campus.
Both sets of students integrated and participated really well in our first project together. The students were very open and friendly and socialised well together both on and off Campus. Our music students showed our visiting Dutch students a brilliant time and put a lot of effort into entertaining them and collaborating with them. There was a great atmosphere in the classroom.
Our Dutch visitors wrote songs, performed and collaborated on stage with our Irish students. During the two week project there were "open mic" sessions, sound engineering workshops, rehearsals, recording sessions, Juice FM interview and live performance and the Dutch came to our students live gig at Cyprus Avenue.
It means a lot to our music department that the visit went really well as we prepare the return experience Noorderpoort college next January. We learned so much from the visit and we are really am looking forward to further developing the exchange programme.

"Thank you soooo much for having us and all the good care for our students. We love your school and the vibe is brilliant. Words can’t say enough, the sparkle in their eyes tell it all. Collabs have been found, new music and new experiences have been gained and most important friends are made. Your hard work paid off. Also on behalf of our students: THANK YOU!!!"
