Sustainable development goals 15, focuses on “life on earth” and focus on protect,

restore, and promote the sustainable use of the ecosystems, manage forests

sustainably, and halt biodiversity loss. The synthesis of the problem between SDG 15

and the textile industry revolves around the environmental and social impacts that the

textile industry has on ecosystem and biodiversity Deforestation and Habitat Loss,

consequences of the textile industry such as Chemical Pollution, the earth quality

going down, waste and pollution, Overconsumption and Fast Fashion. Also, the

textile production is highly water-intensive and can lead to the exhaustion of

freshwater resource.
