Problem:
It's not a secret that factories are the main cause of climate change, and the textile industry is one of the most problematic. The factories want to work the most efficiently and don’t look after sustainability and safety of the environment. We often buy cheaper clothes, but do we really know what’s behind them?
It starts when the clothes are produced. The factories have a lot of waste and pollution. They often use harmful chemicals that eventually end up in our seas, rivers and sewer systems and they don’t use sustainable energy sources and instead use the easiest and cheapest way and that is always the most polluting option: burning fossil fuels, coal-burning power plants. This increases the temperature of the atmosphere.
