Saturday Skiing

On Saturday, January 11, 2025, "Saturday Skiing" took place. It was in the spirit of education for a healthy lifestyle of exercise in the fresh air without a mobile phone in hand. Due to the price and time availability and also the suitability of the terrain for the whole family, we chose the Paseky nad Jizerou ski resort.

A total of 63 students, their parents, but also teachers and other school employees participated in the event. We tried to informally strengthen the relationship between the school and the family. A bus with a smaller capacity arrived at the school, so we immediately decided on how to get to the mountains for some of them upon departure. There were dedicated parents and the bus had to be accompanied by private vehicles.

The journey to the Jizera Mountains to Paseky was peaceful. The bus dropped us off near the lower cable car, followed by changing into ski or snowboard boots, collecting daily tickets and hurray for the slopes. Since it was a school event, I will give the following grades: weather "3" (it was windy, snowing, sunny and in the evening due to the snowfall, visibility was poor), conditions on the slopes "2" (there were a lot of people there and not all the routes were groomed), sports activities "1" (everyone could choose a route according to their abilities), refreshments "1" (a sufficient number of very good quality refreshment points), mood among the participants "1" (no one was injured and everyone enjoyed skiing).

Before five o'clock, we set off on the return journey in heavy snowfall. It took a bit longer, but we arrived safely in Prague. Since we try not to damage nature, we brought all the small waste home and sorted it.
