Erasmus mobility in Rome

A Day of Orienteering and Cultural Exploration

On May 6th, a group of enthusiastic Erasmus students gathered in Rome to take part in an exciting and enriching day of activities. The day kicked off with an outdoor adventure and learning experience in the picturesque Parco delle Valli, a beautiful green space in the heart of the city.

Orienteering at Parco delle Valli

The first activity of the day was an engaging orienteering lesson, which allowed the students to put their navigation and teamwork skills to the test. Orienteering, a popular outdoor sport, involves using a map and compass to navigate through a series of checkpoints. The students, divided into pairs, were introduced to the basics of the sport and challenged to complete the course with accuracy and speed.

The activity encouraged physical exercise and fostered collaboration and communication between the students, as they had to work together to navigate the park and overcome obstacles.

Visit to the Vatican Museums

In the afternoon, the Erasmus students made their way to the historic center of Rome for a cultural visit to one of the most famous museums in the world – the Vatican Museums.

The students were given a guided tour, allowing them to explore the vast halls of the museums and admire masterpieces by renowned artists such as Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo da Vinci.

The cultural visit provided a deep insight into the rich history of Rome and the Vatican, blending educational content with an unforgettable experience.

Conclusion

The day in Rome was a perfect mix of outdoor adventure, physical activity, and cultural exploration. It was an excellent opportunity for the Erasmus students to bond with each other, learn new skills, and experience some of the most iconic sites in Rome. As the students returned to their accommodation in the evening, they reflected on their day, excited about the next chapter of their Erasmus journey.
