What's an About Me page?

Here's where you get personal and have a chance to truly craft your online identity. 

The purpose of the "About Me" page is to share who you are and what your connection is to the content in your e-portfolio.

Must Haves

The “about me” webpage must:

1. Orient the audience to the webpage – tell them what’s below and

2. Introduce the author, or creator, of the website (that’s you or your peer 😊) and share something unique about them - something that they're known for or that makes them tick.

Recommended, but not required, the “about me” webpage can:

• Describe the connection between who the author/creator is and their e-portfolio content (in other words, how is the information in the rest of the site is related to who they are);

• An image - ideally a photo of the author/creator (do not share photos of your students or anyone else who has not given you permission)

What to keep in mind

• You might want to tell the story of "you" - your "biography".

• Head shots and other personal photos are memorable.

• Share a link to your resume document if you like.

• Avoid providing your address and phone number. 

• For all content - images, text, video, etc. follow these tips to design your information with the audience in mind!
