Get started by thinking about your purpose. Once you've got your purpose in mind, explore the site using the menu at the top of the page, ideally in order.

What's your purpose?

E-portfolios showcase you - who you are and what you're capable of. I like to think of e-portfolios as a space to connect with others, share information and ideas, and showcase your competencies. You may have a different purpose.

Speaking of purpose... you really need to start there.

Typically, there are 4 purposes for creating an e-portfolio: supporting your job search, completing academic assignments, career advancement, or admission to a grad program:

Those are great starting points for purposes. For me, e-portfolios have truly been about professional development and learning Out loud, my take on lifelong learning.
