Abstract
One of the new technologies steaming from artificial intelligence is computer vision. The new technology has already begun to change many industries. An analysis was conducted to understand how computer vision is affecting industry, who is developing the new technology, the state of the companies developing it, and how it is affecting the workforce and society. Given the current global climate it is important to study the technologies that have been developed in the last few years to direct our resources where we may need them in our strange new world. Increasing our awareness of computer vision will enable society to direct its application in a beneficial and efficient manner.
