Group discussion should be done with conviction and inclusion. Making sure all students' have the opportunity to participate and grow through out the lesson. Creating steps to the lesson. First instruction on the carpet, then informal assessment, relevant the lesson and then a more formal assessment at students desk. This allows for a flexible learning environment for all learners.
Communication with parents and families is important to help maintain a steady and positive report with parents.
With my team I created a weekly newsletter for the parents. It is important that a hard copy of this goes home to parents and that a digital copy is posted in an online platform for the the parents to view upon convince. We want our parents to be as in tune as possible with our academics, as well as our activities that are going on in and around the school.
Creating a platform for parents to understand and view their child's academics and what we want to see them accomplish helps parents become aware of where the child is at and what types of supports will be needed to help their child reach those learning and emotional goals.
