Students best teachers are often themselves. Students can learn from one another and grow within a domain of learning. Student's use knowledge of structure to help accomplish a task.
Using STEM activities and collaborating with older students helps the younger students learn as well as the older students learn empathy, patience and compassion. Helping fellow students to succeed in a challenge helps develop community and can boost self-esteem in both age groups.
