Background:

I wanted to use the pen tool and create my own design pattern. I wanted a neutral but interesting background so you could easily see the design but it isn't boring. I ended up using the pen tool then repeated the pattern. I then flipped the pattern and colored both white and I really liked how it turned out. The purpose of this poster is too promote exploring and it can be posted in hiking magazines or stores.

Revision:

• I added a polygon shape to add more geometric elements to the graphic

• Added black to the border of the polygon shape to add more dimension.

• I added a word to the poster to help show the theme of nature, chaos and trying to figure things out.

• Used alignment to make sure everything is centered.

Design:

Contrast - Geometric pattern contrasts the nature background.

Repetition - I repeated the pattern and then flipped it to create the design.

Alignment - The pattern is aligned in the middle.

Proximity - The pattern is big and up close.
