Exhibit 2
Paint Girl
Background:
I wanted to practice sharpening some features as well as change the background. I found this photo of the girl and then while searching for the background I saw the canvas and I thought it would fit with the girl. I really like piecing different photo's together so I wanted to do that when starting this project. I sharpened the eyes, hair and mouth. I then changed the background and then toned down the warm in the girls skin so it blended more with the canvas. I also refined the hair and changed the background from the brick to the paint. The purpose of this design was to be a mural in the city to create awareness and empathy.
Revision:
Cropped Image
Rule of thirds
Drop Shadow
Fixed hair translucency
Design:
Contrast - I added more contrast in the levels adjustment so she stood out more.
Repetition - I repeated the cool color theme from the painting with the skin tone.
Alignment - I aligned the photo a little bit to the left to give it more perspective.
Proximity - I put the girl close to the background so that you associate them together.
