Background:

At first I wanted to use pictures of women and then use a clipping mask to connect the picture to each letter of the word BEAUTY. I accidentally stumbled onto the idea to use one picture and then have the word beauty over it. I then lowered the opacity of the word BEAUTY and then used color to feather out the edge and blend it. I then used a sharpening technique to sharpen the eyes and mouth. The purpose of this graphic is for it to be a beauty product ad and to be used in magazines to spark Interest.

Revision:

I put the word BEAUTY on the bottom of the graphic so it is easier to read and so it doesn't hide the models face. I wanted this to look like a poster and a subtle ad to represent beauty and to have a calming effect but also make the audience think and feel. I also made the word smaller and I aligned it so it was perfectly in the middle.

Design:

Contrast - I used pink for the background to contrast the green in the picture. I also used sharpening for the face to contrast the hard to see words.

Repetition - I used the eyedropper tool to repeat the color pink found in her skin tone.

Alignment - I aligned the words in the middle so it is the main focus.

Proximity - I put the word BEAUTY across her face so the audience associates the word BEAUTY with her.
