On November 9, 2022, I got accepted for the international student teaching program at WKU. I will spend 12 weeks student teaching in KY before heading to Barcelona, Spain to finish out my degree!

On December 8, 2022, I got the news that I received the Gilman Scholarship alongside my best friend! For more information about the Gilman and the eligibility requirements, click the link here!

On January 20, 2023 I booked my flight to Barcelona, Spain! My flight leaves on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 8:35 pm or 20:35 for London! Then we head from London to Barcelona and will arrive around 7:55 or 19:55 on April 2! Long day of travel!

I purchased a journal to sit and write down some memories about each day during my time abroad! 

I sent my host family a graphic with some information about me. They told me a little bit about their family- how many children they have, their hobbies, etc. I am so excited to meet them and experiencing life in Barcelona!

I spent 2 semesters in my undergrad taking beginning Spanish and I continued to practice with Duolingo and talking with my friend Jessica, who is bilingual in English and Spanish. My goal abroad is to gain a little more knowledge of the language!
