This week we will begin our second half of the Spring semester. It is very important that you complete all assignments and submit them to get your points.
Today in DEFEND Math, we will analyze data to see if there are changes in the length of pollen seasons in an area of the United States and how this is contributing to seasonal allergies.

Last week, we analyzed data to see how allergy seasons are getting longer in certain places in the US. This week, we will go beyond our atmosphere and learn more about asteroids that could potentially harm our planet. We will compared their size to objects we are familiar with to develop a better understanding of how big these orbiting rocks are and what NASA is doing to avoid having them collide with Earth.

The 1977 release of “Star Wars” changed Hollywood forever. Four decades later we’re still enthralled. Just last December, “Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker”, was released in theaters. Following the previous two movies of the sequel trilogy, “The Force Awakens” and “The Last Jedi”, the main Star Wars film franchise has come to a conclusion. So — Happy Star Wars Day this May 4!
This week, we will find the absolute locations using latitude and longitude of the different places on Earth where the Star Wars movies were filmed.

Having a summer job is a great. Getting your own paycheck is exciting, but when you see the deductions that is not so great. This is an activity that will help you understand your paycheck and the deductions that are made.
In EV ELA Support, you will have the opportunity to create your resume and have it available when you begin applying for any job. Below are three employment opportunities for young people right now.
