My goals for the profession over the next few years are to work on my language skills when lecturing and writing assignment outlines, get better at managing the classroom, and get more comfortable in front of the class. All of these goals, I feel, simply take time. After my first lesson, I knew that I needed to be more comfortable in the class. However, I feel that I quickly improved on that and was immediately more comfortable at the next lesson. But, at my next practicum I will most likely be nervous for the first few days again. It just takes time to get used to. My commitment to the teaching profession has never really wavered. There have definitely been difficult moments, but nothing that has made me think that I don't want to be a teacher. I look forward to my next practicums, working on my goals, and getting more experience in the classroom.Â
