This is an example of the type of slide I would show to my students every day at the beginning of class. Students were expected to sit down and answer the bellringer question on a Google Form and then I would explain the agenda for the day.
The slideshow connects to standard 4J because it establishes the morning procedure for the class and gives students the expectations of what they are going to be doing that day. It also is a physical reminder of what the goals are for the day and for what's coming up in future classes which creates a conducive setting to achieve goals.
I learned how to create morning procedures so that class runs smoothly and I don't have to spend extra time managing behaviors at the beginning of class. Setting goals and creating an agenda also helps class run smoothly for myself and the students.
This is a paper I wrote in my Educational Psychology class on strategies I can use to manage classroom behaviors.
The classroom management plan connects to standard 4G because I had to study behavior management strategies to write my behavior and implement them to create a behavior management plan. This will lead to a safe and productive learning environment in my classroom.
I learned multiple strategies on how to manage student behavior, including keeping students engaged in class, setting up clear rules and procedures both at the beginning of the year and throughout the year, and developing ways to keep students accountable for their behavior.
