CUSTOM OUTFIT RUNWAY COLLABORATION WITH APSN
GLAMROCK THEMED GROUP WORK
APSN FUNDRAISER
We were tasked to create a fashion runway look for our assigned models based on the subcultures that we selected as a group.
We collaborated with Uniqlo to upcycle and rework defected and discarded garments into something special and unique for our model.
We had only one month to work, designing and creating the outfit. We had multiple meetings with our model for fittings and also to involve our model in the creative process like finding out more about their likes and dislikes.
Challenges: We had to adapt size S garments to fit our 4XL model, requiring significant adjustments. Additionally, we accommodated our special needs models' sensory sensitivities while working within a tight timeframe.
Our designs were featured within Straits Time's article of the event.
As a group, we created these moodboards to drive a clear design concept.
We were tasked to design something that represents the specially abled person we were working with, and this is what we came up with after meeting him a few times and getting to know his personality.
On the day of the runway, we were tasked with helping our model get dressed and make sure his makeup and hair were in a correct state. After this event, our project was also displayed in our school's design show gallery.
