Due to an extraordinary situation, we publish these data and a tool to it on the morning of 28 May 2023.
We have managed to get hold of the official data of the first round of the Presidential Elections in the Republic of Turkey in 2023, and happy to share this data and this tool with the civil observers and journalists who are currently observing the voting.
The data was downloaded via the website of the Supreme Electoral Council in the same manner as we did it before.
The first round of the elections was two weeks ago, and the results were officially declared by the Central Electoral Council. Actually, the results should have been published on their website long ago.
So, we don’t see any problem with sharing it with the public. On the contrary, this data and the tool might help observers and journalists to identify areas and polling stations where their attention and presence will be especially useful to ensure that the elections are free and fair.
