The final grade for your clerkship is primarily derived from your shift evaluation cards that are filled out by attendings and senior residents you work with in the department. The remainder of your grade is determined by Tuesday didactics and participation, Wednesday Resident Conference attendance, patient write-ups, and professionalism.
You will also have the opportunity to take an extra credit emergency medicine SAEM test to improve your clerkship grade.
At Einstein, we grade on an Honors/High Pass/Pass/Low Pass/Fail grading convention. If your school requires a Shelf or COMAT examination, they will administer and then combine your exam grade with our final grade to formulate your final grade for the rotation.
For SLOE documentation, we will report only the grade you have earned from your rotation with us!
