Unfortunately, we came across some technical difficulties that required us to make a new Instagram account at the beginning of the school year. Nevertheless, I took on the role of managing the page and increasing our following, likes, and overall engagement. I use Instagram to inform students about upcoming meetings, happenings within the club, and new stories. Additionally, I used Instagram to collect interviews, photos, and opinions through polls. I also manage the online website, ensuring that each article has an engaging SEO-friendly title, tags, and corresponding images.
For Health Education Advocates, I manage our medium website which is linked to our Wix site. I also am in charge of making posts for our Instagram page.
I have also used our Instagram page to post interactive polls that are either included in articles or meant to increase the connection between the Brookfield East student body and the Spartan Banner. I posted this poll a day before we had our first snow day of the school year.
As an artist myself, I believe that it is tremendously important to provide students with a platform to share their work. For this reason, I initiated an Art Competition through our online website. I selected three winners who each received $25 gift cards that were kindly donated to us by the Chocolate Factory.
