YOUTH to YOUTH CONNECT CAMPAIGN by BIS
Event Date: 13th March, 2024
The students of IEM Kolkata have got an opportunity to be a part of the ‘YOUTH TO YOUTH CONNECT CAMPAIGN’ organized by BIS, Kolkata Branch Office-II. The members of Standard Club of IEM organized the campaign in their campus. The main motive was this event was to support the young volunteers towards creating quality and standardization awareness. Volunteers were inspired by MS. Shreya Kumari, scientist-B/ Assistant Director and Mr. Sourav Das, working as Graduate Engineer in Kolkata Branch Office-II. Our respected Principle Prof. Arun Kumar Bar sir was also present in the event. We were enlightened by their words about the necessity of Indian Standards of different products used in our day to day life.
Participation of over more than 70 volunteers were recorded. All of them were involved with enthusiasm. Volunteers were treated with refreshments after the event. After the campaign, the volunteers went to different colleges and schools to aware the students about the BIS App which is used to find out the originality of the product. We would like to thank our faculty co-ordinators Prof. Pratik Dey Sir for giving us such an opportunity. We are also grateful to all the volunteers for showing this much enthusiasm towards this awareness program.

IEEE WIE Quiz Program at Book Fair 2024
Event Date: 24th January, 2024
IEEE WIE organized a Quiz Program at Kolkata Book Fair, 2024 in association with Institute of Engineering & Management, Kolkata on 24th January, 2024 from 4:30PM - 5:30PM. The topic selected for Quiz Program is “STEM Education”. The overflowing and enthusiastic participation of the contestants during the sessions proved the success of the program.
The students from IEEE WIE Students’ Branch and from IEM Kolkata worked diligently to ensure smooth conduction of the program.
