Three-day International conference on Intelligent Electrical Systems and Industrial Automation 2025 has been successfully concluded which was jointly organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Electrical Engineering Department of IEM, Saltlake Campus from 25th - 27th June, 2025. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the renowned academician, industry research personnel along with the great presence of the Chief Patron of the Conference Prof. Banani Chakrabarti, Patron Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti. 317 research papers were submitted by the researchers from all over the world. The researchers came to the campus to present their research work. Even, they had an excellent opportunity to present through online mode too. During this Conference, inter college Hardware model competition was organized. On the last day, the prize distribution ceremony and valedictory session were conducted. The Institute always strive for the engagement and togetherness of the field of academics, research as well as industry.
Total 317 papers were received across the globe, out of which 82 papers were presented and forwarded for publication in Springer.

Innovation in Energy Management and Renewable Resources
IEMRE 2024
20th to 22nd of September, 2024
This is the 4th edition of the conference, this time we have received an overwhelming response from the researchers with 110 papers from all over the globe, among them we have selected 30 papers for presenting in the conference after the proper review process. It is planned to publish the peer reviewed and selected papers of conference as proceedings with Springer in their prestigious “Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering” series (https://www.springer.com/series/7818).
IEMRE 2024 starts with the Inaugural session with the enlightening speeches from Director Sir, Principal Sir, HODs of EEE, and EE dept. Book of abstract of the conference is inaugurated in front of all the dignitaries. After that the 1st keynote session was given by Prof (Dr.) Konika Das Bhattacharya Professor, EE Dept., IIEST Shibpur, her title of the talk was Microelectronics For a Sustainable World. It was followed by the 2nd keynote session given by (Mr.) Joy Chakraborty, Divisional Engineer, WBREDA, Department of NRES, Govt of West Bengal. His speech elaborates the different steps taken by west Bengal govt. for increasing the growth of renewable energy in the state. 2nd half of the 1st day begins with the 3rd keynote speech by Mr. Amal Nayak President - Sales and Marketing, Contendre Greenergy Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai in Potentials and challenges in Renewable Energy in India, followed by the 4th keynote speech by Dr. Soumya Subhra Nag, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India in Three-Phase Unfolding Based Electric Vehicle Powertrain. Day one ends with the poster presentation competition where some of the selected papers has been presented in front of the different judges.
2nd day of the conference with the 5th Keynote session by Prof (Dr.) Subham Sahoo, Aalborg University, Denmark. in Cybersecurity Diagnosis in Renewable-Rich Power Grids followed by the 6th keynote session by Prof (Dr.) Kuntal Monda, Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Spain in Stabilization of PV Fed Converters using Self-Compensation Technique. The day ends with three technical paper presentation tracks running parallelly under the supervision of session chair and co-chair.
3rd Day of the conference starts with the 7th Keynote speech by Prof (Dr.) Chirodeep Bakli, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India on The Next Revolution: Powering the Energy Transition with Solar Innovations. After this the conference ended with three technical paper presentation tracks running parallel.

Total 82 papers were received, out of which 34 papers were presented and forwarded for publication in Springer.
The three days International Conference on Intelligent Electrical Systems and Industrial Automation (IESIA 2024), organized by the Dept. of Electrical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering was held from 5th April to 7th April in Hybrid Mode. The inaugural ceremony was conducted in offline mode followed by the keynote speeches of Prof. Dr. Swagatam Das, Professor, Dept. of Electronics Engineering, ISI Kolkata. The technical sessions were conducted in both online and offline mode throughout the conference considering the
choice of the participants. We received a good numbers of quality papers from the national as well as international researchers. The publication sponsor of the conference is Springer. We hope, the proceedings will be published soon into their Book Series Studies in Automatic, Data Driven and Industrial Computing. The acceptance-rejection ratio 1:1 has been strictly maintained as per the condition given by the Publishing House.

In this year we have received 142 papers from different part of the globe among them 56 papers have been accepted by the renowned review committee with three review members assigned for each paper.
IEMRE conference has been a premium forum for presenting recent advances in renewable based energy systems, smart applications of power electronic devices in modern grid systems and AI based control over energy management areas.
Following the path of accomplishments achieved in IEMRE2021, 2nd edition of IEMRE aims to motivate researchers by the key ideas about the cutting-edge technology in the field of Renewable Energy and Energy Management. IEMRE2022 is an excellent platform to collaborate and showcase high-end research giving exposure to interact with the eminent Professors, Technocrats, Scientists, Administrators and Students throughout the world by the latest innovations in the field of Renewable Energy and Energy Management with their applications in worldwide energy sectors. IEMRE 2022 will be organized by Department of EEE & EE of Institute of Engineering & Management, Kolkata, India for three days in online mode with numbers of invited lectures by the outstanding speakers from all over the world on emerging areas in the field of renewable energy.

Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering of Institute of Engineering & Management, Kolkata in technical collaboration with IET(UK) Kolkata Local Network & Smart Society, USA organized 2nd International Conference on “Industrial Electronics Mechatronics Electrical & Mechanical Power” (IEMPOWER – 2021) from 26th November, 2021 to 28th November, 2021.
The event commenced on November 26th with an Inaugural session where Prof. (Dr.) Satyajit Chakrabarti, President, IEM-UEM group, Prof. (Dr.) Satyajit Chakrabarti, Director, IEM, Kolkata, Prof. (Dr.) Arun Kumar Bar, Principal, IEM, Kolkata, Dr. Senjuti Khanra, Convenor, IEMPOWER 2021 & Prof. Tapas Kumar Datta, HOD(EE) inaugurated the conference with their insightful and motivating speeches. The inaugural session was followed by keynote session by Prof. Dr. Josep M. Guerrero, Professor, Villum Investigator, AAU Energy, Aalborg University's Center for Research on Microgrids (CROM), Aalborg, Denmark. This session was kicked offwith an insightful presentation by Dr. Guerrero on a highly intriguing topic, "Space Microgrid: Sattelites, Lunar Bases, and Ecosystems." Following that, a Plenary Talk was delivered by Prof. Dr. LenGelman, Professor, University of Huddersfield, UK.He shared his ideas and thoughts on Artificial Intelligence field. He specifically discussed on the topic, "Embedding AI into the IOT to Deliver Digital Health Solutions."
On November 27th, the day started off with a Plenary Talk Session by Prof. Dr.Somak Bhattacharya, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology BHU, India. He delivered an incisive speech on “Recent Trends in Communications”.
