 Day 5: Yarigatake - Kamikochi

Back to Matsumoto

Jumped out of bed around 5am to ascend Yari again to catch the sunrise. Too bad the sun was already out when I was climbing halfway. The climb was much slower cos the rocks were slippery.  Nevertheless, I made it to this breathtaking 360° view!

We jumped out of bed at 5am to climb up to Yarigatake again for sunrise.

A relentless 7-hour descent all the way to Kamikochi via Yarasawa. Thanks to the good weather, we made it a little faster than expected.

We reached Konashidaira campsite at around 14:30 and were sitting around the campsite contemplating whether to camp in Kamikochi or head back to Matsumoto. Considering that it will be raining at night, we finally decided to head back to Matsumoto.
