Day 3: Hotaka-Sanso - Daikiretto - Minamidake-Goya

We waited for the weather to clear but it didn't, so we started a little late at 7am in light rain and heavy mist. Reached Karasawadake (3110m) within half an hour.
Summited the Kitahotaka-dake (3106m) and stopped for lunch at Kitahotaka-Sanso just below the peak.

Continuing along the Daikiretto route towards Minamidake. Not sure if it is considered lucky, it got so misty that we were unable to see the dead drop below us. 😅
I called these the "staples"
The climb is so much easier with chains or ladders!
Finally reached Minamidake-Goya near 4pm. This marked the end of the Daikiretto route. We were contemplating pushing another 3 hours to Yarigatake-Sanso, but decided not to, taking into consideration the weather.
