Celebrate with a Spontaneous Gallery
Wondering what an impromptu art gallery is?
It’s simple...and it’s brilliant, really…
Let's go back to CUE 17... Cathy Hunt was the closing Keynote speaker and shared a strategy that was a game changer for me….spontaneous art galleries…
To celebrate student creativity and showcase learning in a fun and spontaneous way, you can arrange your devices on the floor (or on desks), placing them into a grid or array. Stand around them in a circle or circulate through the room (depending on how you have devices arranged) and admire the creative work! This was a simple and spectacular way to celebrate success. Students will love seeing their work “showcased” and love seeing what their peers have made. This can be done on any device, in any way - but it’s all about celebrating creativity!
The beauty of a spontaneous gallery is just that... it is meant to be spontaneous! Celebrate the creativity! Showcase the ideas! Cheer for the complete and incomplete work. In these moments, students will feel validated as creators of content and build confidence in themselves. It does not always have to be about the finished product. It can be all about the moment and truly be a simple and spectacular way to celebrate success.

Student Choice Leads to Student Voice
I believe that the more you give students choice, the more you hear their voice. I shared how @ShawnMcCusker inspired me and I've posted the YouTube video of the student project I referenced below.
Comfort Zones
During the episode, we referenced a quote from Tom Whitby and a blog post I wrote about it. I've put the quote below. You can click on the picture, or click here, to see the blog post.

Just a little example of something made in Adobe Spark Video. Cynthia made this for a project with #Sketch50.
