Assistive Technology Infographic and Wiki
4.4.c Collaborate to Accommodate Learner Needs: Collaborate with educators to design accessible and active digital learning environments that accommodate learner variability.
The infographic is a visual representation that communicates key information about tools, devices, or strategies designed to enhance the capabilities of individuals with disabilities. The goal is to provide a clear and accessible overview of how assistive technology can support different aspects of daily living, education, communication, and accessibility for people with diverse needs. Infographics on assistive technology serve as valuable educational resources, helping to increase awareness, understanding, and adoption of these technologies in both educational and everyday settings.
Social Networking and Gamification Teacher Web Resource
4.3.c: Partner with educators to evaluate the efficacy of digital learning content and tools to inform procurement decisions and adoption.
After completing the Kahoot quiz, teachers and coaches can collaborate to decide how and when to implement gamification in the classroom. This artifact supports a teacher's evaluation of how they may (or may not) use social networking in the classroom. Together, the coach and teachers can investigate social media and online games that are entertaining and safe for every kid.
Digital Concept Map
4.3.c: Partner with educators to evaluate the efficacy of digital learning content and tools to inform procurement decisions and adoption.
The Digital Concept Map is a collaborative tool designed by coaches to assist educators in understanding their teaching philosophies and what digital resources align best with those philosophies to achieve optimal student outcomes. They can locate digital resources that align with their curriculum by working with educators.
Differentiation Resource
4.3.b: Partner with educators to identify digital learning content that is culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate and aligned to content standards.
In addition to collaborating to discover digital resources and technologies that will support instructors and students in the distance learning classroom, coaches can distribute or share information for educators to review at their own convenience using the Differentiation Resource site. Coaches can work with teachers to implement a range of tools and engagement strategies from this resource right away in their classrooms.
Menu of Teacher Support Techniques
4.3.a: Establish trusting and respectful coaching relationships that encourage educators to explore new instructional strategies.
Teachers can explore a range of digital tools and their applications through this menu. They can also click on links to find out more about each tool. By providing coaches and teachers with a starting point for learning about particular teacher support strategies and the digital tools that go along with them, this menu enables more meaningful cooperation and helps educators create a curriculum that is more technologically advanced.
