The Red Zone is the most important period of the cheerleading season. It is the two weeks leading up to every competition, where full attendance, focus, and commitment are essential for the success and safety of every team.
Red Zone is when routines are cleaned, perfected, and finalised before competition day. Every stunt group, tumble pass, and section of the routine relies on full team attendance to ensure consistency and confidence on the mat.
Athletes must attend every scheduled training session during Red Zone.
Absences are only excused in cases of serious illness, injury, or emergency, and must be reported directly to the Head Coach.
Families should avoid booking holidays, parties, or other events during Red Zone.
Missing training can disrupt stunt groups, force routine changes, or risk team safety.
Arrive on time, in correct training kit, ready to work.
Bring a positive attitude and be focused for every practice.
Missing one or more Red Zone sessions may result in:
Removal from stunt groups
Removal from tumbling sections
Partial or full removal from the competition routine
Decisions are made at the coaches’ discretion to ensure the team is safe and competition-ready.
All Red Zone dates are shared on Heja at the start of the season.
Reminders are posted before each competition so families can plan around them.
Cheerleading is a team sport - every athlete counts. By respecting the Red Zone Policy, we ensure that:
Stunt groups stay consistent and safe
Routines are fully prepared and polished
Every athlete gets the chance to perform confidently on competition day
The Red Zone is about teamwork, discipline, and giving our athletes the best chance to shine when it matters most.
