Details of using and updating  the system Ratings files. (RYA and AUS )

Update the System Ratings

If you wish to replace the DSRC system ratings you can use the one of the files below (Or your Own).

Download the Required file to your  phone / tablet.

Make Sure Admin is On in Settings (so options are visible)

In DSRC

Settings

Edit Class Ratings

Select "Replace Ratings"

or

"Merge Ratings" (Overwrites Matches Ratings but retains Others Club or Personal Py's)

Click Save

Tip - For Club / Personal Py's  you may want to use a non standard class name eg "Phantom < 1000" - (for older phantoms)

Update your Fleet Ratings

It is also possible to automatically update your Competitors  PY's to the system ones.

Make Sure Admin is On in Settings (so options are visible)

Goto Competitors

Menu - View Class

(This Shows Classes of competitors loaded, Not all possible classes)

If Class name is Black - They match the System Rating

If Class name is   RED - They don't match system Rating - Eg personal or Club  Rating

In Menu you can update competitors to SYSTEM Rating  -

"Apply Standard Ratings"  - Designed for when PY's are updated.

IMPORTANT NOTE  for USERS from Android 10 or above.

Please see https://sites.google.com/view/dsrc/filesdocs#h.el6pxfcw6ulm on how to import files.

RYA   PY  System

DSRC- Comes with the RYA Py's Loaded and we will create an replacement file when new ones are published.

We have also include non standard PY's for Classes that don't have an RYA Py these are obtained from Various Sources  and are not official but a good start.

Australian  Yardstick System

The Australian  yardstick system not only uses different ratings to the RYA system it uses a base of 100 with decimal ratings instead of the RYA Base on 1000.

We have created a AUS Yardstick file below where the Yardsticks are multiplied by 10 which allows them to be use in DSRC to give the correct adjusted times in APP.

eg  an AU 29er Py of 96.5 is converted to 965 for use in DSRC

Note If importing results into Sailwave just don't import the Rating Value, easily achieved by changing the DSRC Sailwave header for Rating to "R A T I N G"

Other Handicap Systems.

If you are using a different handicap system  that uses a different corrected time calculation,  you can still use DSRC to collect your elapsed times and use Sailwave to calculate your correct time,  If you set all your PY's to 1000  in DSRC correct and elapsed times will be the same.
