Vishwakarma Puja was celebrated with full enthusiasm at Dr.Sudhir Chandra Sur Degree Engineering College on 18^th September 2019. Lord Vishwakarma is known as the divine Engineer since the Puranic age. As a mark of reverence and following the tradition of celebrating festivals, this year also, our College showed deep concern towards rites and rituals and performed Vishwakarma Puja with great zeal. Dr.Om Prakash Sharma-Principal, HODs, Faculty, Staff and students of the college performed the puja and chanted the mantras. After performing the formal puja, machines of workshop and labs were worshipped. Sweets and Fruits were served as Prasadam to all the people present. The auspicious day filled everyone with the sense of spirituality all around.

The discussion was taken place how we can restore our natural resources and recycle the waste product. Mayor of KMC,Kolkata was the chief guest in the program. The welcome address was given by Mr.Indrajit Sen, President of Bengal Chambers of Commerce and Industry.Key note address on " Sustainability and Resources security was given by Dr Ajay Mathur, Director General of TERI.Mr. P.S. Bhattacharya, Former Chairman of Coal India delivered his speech on making coal efficient in the power plant.Mr Sanjoy Mukherjee, Vice President of CESC Ltd, delivered his speech on utility perspective -the sustainability angle..

Resources efficiency was also highlighted by Mr Anirban Ghosh, , Chief Sustainable Officer, Mahindra Group.
