Over a decade ago, the Affordable Care Act or ACA was put into law. It seemed like a terrific and viable way to bring healthcare to the American masses on the surface. However, while the aim and vision of the ACA were indeed noble, the reality of it was far from what people expected.

In the past few years, an increasing number of Americans have been failing to pay their premiums and deductibles as the rising costs of healthcare made it all but impossible. But according to Dr. Matthew Boente MD, with the recent victory of Joe Biden in the presidential elections, Americans can expect to have many affordable options once again in healthcare.

The original ACA had plans to include households with incomes between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level, which makes up a sizeable size of the population. It also intended to expand the Medicaid program to cover all adults with low income, even those who fall below 138% of the federal poverty level – in all states. And it sought to support innovative medical care delivery methods, which will lead to lower costs in healthcare in general.

Though these were indeed noble intentions, they had several holes, according to Dr. Matthew Boente MD.

To plug these holes and improve the ACA, President Joe Biden has worked on his plan for years, studying how he can create options for people and lower the cost of private healthcare. He also plans on dedicating a lot of the country’s funding to healthcare itself.

Through the years, Dr. Matthew Boente MD has received numerous awards for his work and contribution to the medical field. Dr. Boente was among the recipients of the Top Doctor Award given by Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine and Minnesota Monthly’s Best Doctors for Women. In 2012, he received the National Cancer Institute Gold Certificate of Excellence Award. For more updates on Dr. Boente, follow this Twitter page.
