MUSIC - INSTRUMENTATION

Instrumental music and sound will be provided within three separate layers:

  • The ensemble: A set of instrumentalists that supports each historical ensemble type. Thus the tutti ensemble can be split into smaller performing ensembles, each a representing the specific culture that is being presented. Of course, for the tutti ensemble, all the interregnum
  • The percussion support: sets of shakers, rattles, flutes, drums, etc are mounted or hung from the appropriate stage locations. These will be used by the Actor/Dancer/Singers as the performance progresses.
  • The electronics: Sampled and prerecorded sounds and musical structures can be distributed within the surround environment to support, scaffold, connect, and provide sound scape and musical support.
