Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's A Christmas Carol has been running since 1990, and has become a beloved holiday tradition, in which parents who saw it as children now share it with their own.

Season 16 saw a major technology upgrade to the computer sound system, basically opening sampling space to an arbitrary size (from about 136 MByte to 30 GByte). This diagram shows how I engineered to two systems to run simultaneously as we effected the upgrade.

The sound system delivers thirteen discrete audio channels to 28 individual speakers to create an immersive environment that can surround the audience with dynamically moving sound elements.
