Dracula

Dracula was co-produced with Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and St Louis Repertory Theatre in 2007. This was another play that had almost continuous underscoring and effects, relying on music to help the mood and action in a cinematic fashion, and within an immersive field of 28 speakers and 12 discrete audio channels. For this effort, I was awarded the 2007 Kevin Kline Award for outstanding sound design.

These selections are stereo mix downs of the original 12-channel version for the theatre

Lucy's Dream

Underscore: Lucy describes her disturbing dream to Van Helsing

Into the Crypt

Scene Change: As Van Helsing and his team descend into the depths below Dracula's mansion, in a spectacular scene change, the entire set transforms into the Dracula's crypt.

Sunrise

Underscore: new day arises in the smoke of Dracula's destruction, and all is well with the world.
For now. Mua-hahahah!!!!!
