Plastic Lives: New Music for the Environment
Composer, Media Designer, and ProducerI was one of three composers commissioned by Soprano Lori McCann to write music on matters of the environment and global change. My piece, entitled "Cycles", implements my techniques of transformational composition, and draws as source material from Schubert's Gretchen am Spinnrade. I also designed and implemented the blended performance technology, and integrated QLab with the acoustical performance.

Sabbatical! (Spring 2023, Fall 2023)
Delighted to be on Sabbatical for Spring 2023 and Fall 2024. Spring 2023 has been split into a first half, in which I co-produced with my wife Lori McCann the Concert series "Plastic Lives". Lori was soprano soloist and I wrote one of the pieces "Life Cycles". These were also first experiments in Blended Performance. We are now on the second half, which involves extensive travel in Europe. We have traveled to Vienna, Barcelona, Lausanne, Bern, Berlin, Copenhagen, Oslo, London, Lichtenfels, and now back to Vienna! Many thanks to our amazing friends who we have worked, played, and stayed with along our way!
Part 2 of teh Sabbatical involved continued research, and development of the Center for Holistic Integration.
