Harris's Exploring Chemical Analysis, These topics are in Chapters 1 & 3

Lab this week should be an introduction to all of the lab ware you will use. Review Harris's Chapter 2 for that information.

This week will review several topics that you are expected to have a handle on from General Chemistry and a few new ones. Those topics include:

• Unit conversions

• Prefixes for SI base units

• Dimensional analysis

• Units of concentration of solutions

• Dilution & Serial dilution

• Significant figures

  • Sig Figs in calculations including Log functions

• How to work a spreadsheet (I use Excel for demonstrative purposes)
