MedCline
MedClineTM
To reduce nocturnal reflux, patients are advised to raise their bed head or use a wedge pillow and to sleep on their left side.
MedCline is a device designed to make that easier to achieve.
A paper published by the Cleveland Clinic in 2014 [r-lv] conlcuded, "In patients with nocturnal heartburn and regurgitation despite PPI use, the Medcline Sleep Positioning Device significantly reduced nocturnal symptoms, morning impact of nocturnal GERD, and concern about nocturnal GERD after two weeks of use."
A paper published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology in 2015 [r-xlvi], concluded, "The sleep positioning device maintains recumbent position effectively. Lying left-side down, it reduces recumbent esophageal acid exposure."
