FULL TITLE OF THE GPPA: Mentoring and Monitoring Visits to Designated Specialty Centers and Assessment Visits to Eligible DOH Hospitals for Additional Designation as Cancer Specialty Centers

DESCRIPTION: Republic Act No. 11959 mandates National Specialty Centers to provide specialty training, technical assistance, and capacity building to advanced and basic comprehensive specialty centers. The mentoring and monitoring visits will identify gaps in infrastructure, human resources, equipment, clinical pathways, and referral systems, while providing technical guidance to address these in DOH hospitals designated as cancer care specialty centers. The assessment visits will ensure that eligible DOH hospitals meet the required standards prior to designation.
