Knowledge resource on health facility development
The HFDB-PH is a knowledge resource solution hosted on Google Sites, and is developed and maintained by the Health Facility Development Bureau (HFDB) of the Department of Health of the Philippines.
The HFDB formulates policies and develops standards for the establishment, development, management and operations of health facilities in the country. The Bureau assumes technical leadership and coordination of health facility development initiatives of the government and its partners. Improving delivery of health services and determining critical areas for continuous improvement of patient-centered quality care are the Bureau's utmost priorities.
For the implementation of the Unified National Agenda for Health per Administrative Order No. 2026-0012, or UNA Para sa Kalusugan, the HFDB is currently assigned to the Hospital Systems Stewardship Cluster, which has three portfolios, and one of which is led by Dr. Diana R. Tamondong-Lachica, Assistant Secretary of Health. Dr. Tamondong-Lachica is supported by Ms. Frances Rose Elgo-Mamaril, Director IV, of the HFDB.
