The Digital Library of Georgia Celebrates the Release of its One Millionth Digitized Newspaper Page!

During Fall 2017, the Digital Library of Georgia proudly observes the release of its one millionth digitized newspaper page. The premier issue of The Georgia Gazette, Georgia's first newspaper, published from 1763-1776 in Savannah, will become the one millionth page of historic newspapers to be made freely available online through the Georgia Historic Newspapers.

The Digital Library of Georgia encourages librarians to offer local celebrations of this historic milestone. The resources in the Press Kit below are designed to support programming and publicity in local communities.
