The Paravians were descended from the same genetic stock that the ancient Lizard Kings planted on the three Gorn planets. An asteroid struck the planet, and out of the last of the surviving proto-gorns rose the birdlike Paravians. The Paravians operated as raiders and never built many colonies, they've yet to meet any other races but their eventual meeting with the Gorn will doom their race without outside assistance.

During the Paravian's Middle ages when religion and superstition ruled their society they had discovered fossilized Gorn remains, this caused the Paravian scientists to assume that the gorn are some race of demons that plagued their race during the dark ages, because of this, the eventual first contact with the gorn will go badly when they conclude the gorn are the ancient demons of their past and will fanatically attack them with unparalleled savagery.

Flight or Flexible Bonus Feat
Some members of this race have a fly speed of 30 feet with clumsy maneuverability however some (33%) cannot fly and have a Bonus feat instead, when flying the Paravian cannot use their hands for casting or weapons, however they are trained to use their feet instead as they are just as dexterous in using them with tools and chakra.

Enhanced Leaping:
Regardless of whether a Paravian has Flight or not, they can use their feathered arms or wings and specially-adapted leg muscles to provide a +2 to all Jump checks.

Claws
Paravians limbs are clawed, they receive two claw attacks. These are primary natural attacks. The damage is based on the creature's size, when flying they can make claw attacks with their feet instead of their hands as they are occupied with the task of flight.

Frenzy
Once per day, whenever a Paravian takes damage, it flies into a frenzy for 1 minute, gaining a +2 racial bonus to Constitution and Strength, but a –2 penalty to Defense.
