Demigods and Divinity

This template is in the prototyping phase

It can be encountered in-game but it's content may change at any point in time and it's deployment is currently limited to beta testing staff.

A demigod or demi-god is a minor deity, a mortal or immortal who is the offspring of a god and a human, a figure who has attained divine status after death, an Avatar of a God or a God who has lost their divinity and are attempting to get it back. Figuratively, it is used to describe a person whose talents or abilities are so superlative that they appear to approach being divine.

ADHD - Most demigods are labeled as suffering from ADHD, but it is actually a sign of their heightened senses and natural aptitude for battle. ADHD also gives demigods greater battlefield reflexes and the ability to see where their opponents will strike due to the tensing of their muscles.

Benefit: Choose how much the ADHD will affect your character. Alga, Belta, Tseza you gain +2/4/6 to initiative respectively.

Drawback: you get a -2/4/6 on perception, concentration and any other skill requiring a high degree of concentration respectively (higher or lower at DM's discretion). You are also required to make a concentration check when attempting to do anything (outside of battle) that requires patience, long periods of inactivity, long periods of paying attention, or similar. If you fail, your character becomes disinterested and goes off to find something more fun to do. They also may be distracted by something particularly interesting, the character must make a Will save (determined by DM) to see if they go off and investigate or stay on task.

Depending on the strength of your ADHD you gain 1,2, or 3  SP.
[Half the amount a normal person would get when buying this defect normally.]

Dyslexia

Note: Most races start with the choice of Common or their native species [native region] language and not more then one. In the case of demigods, they gain 50% listen and Speak for the choice above + full understanding of the ancient language of their pantheon.

Struggling with mental tasks usually causes those to excel in more physical aspects. Dyslexia possessers gain:
Nullify Weakness/Amplify Strength - +2 to starting 8 or 18 statistics.

Advanced Element God Advice

If you are playing a God that uses an Advanced Element.
You will have to be careful how you build your character.

Required:

Elemental Mastery Feat
Due to this requirement, you will need:
Genius Feat or 1 Meta Magic Feat and
Primal Arts Rank 4

Recurring Nightmares [Demigod Variant]
When the Recurring Nightmare Defect haunts a character, he or she has trouble sleeping at nights and functions at less-than-optimum performance during the day. The nightmare can be a memory of a tragic event or traumatic experience, or it might be something else such as a prophetic vision or warning.

The nightmare may not occur every night but it will haunt the character on a regular basis. Additionally, the nightmares do not need to portray the exact same events repeatedly, but the visions should be related in some way. The details concerning the subject matter of the nightmares and why they occur is the responsibility of the GM and the player to create.
